To sustain and grow Arts, Cinema and Theater in Teton Valley by supporting, developing and promoting creative programs and cultivating new artistic avenues within our community.
ACT Foundation is dedicated to keeping the arts alive in Teton Valley, Idaho. Our vision is to ensure that everyone in the community, young and old, will have easy access to art programs, theatrical experiences, and cinematic influence. We see a future with a local community theater, multiple plays performed each year stand-up comedy options, musicals, and art shows to name a few. We are grateful to take advantage of the beloved Pierre’s Theatre as well as outdoor performance venues throughout Teton Valley.

Milissa West, Executive Director
With over 14 years of experience in thrift store management, Milissa West is the Founder of the ACT Foundation. Her love of the arts led her to create an organization dedicated to keeping them alive and thriving in the community she loves.
Jim Hardee, President
I was active in high school drama. I played the lead role in “Bye, Bye Birdie” and the lead role in “Pillow Talk” in my senior year. I was the Bank of America Award winner for Drama.
My college degree is in Youth Agency Administration which was designed for people interested in working professionally in youth programs. I served the Boy Scouts of America as a District Executive for 7 years. I was involved in fund raising, organizing new programs, running summer camps, recruiting volunteers, etc. Then I went to work in the foster care world for EA Family Services from 1980 until I semi-retired in 2006. I started as a child care worker in a boys’ group home, became a Social Worker in the Foster Family Agency program and made my way up the line to become Executive Director in 1993. I served in that capacity until I left and moved to Idaho. I still serve as Executive Director Emeritus and am a member of the Board of Directors. I am also a founder of Exploring New Horizons, and outdoor education program for 6th graders and Camp Rockin’ U, a summer camp program geared toward foster children aged 8-14.
I am currently on the Historical Advisory Board and the Editorial Board for the Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale. I have written 3 books and numerous articles regarding the history of the fur trade era of American history (including “Pierre’s Hole, The Fur Trade History of Teton Valley, Idaho”). I present regularly at national conferences that focus on the pre-1840 history of the American West.
Jenny Wade, Vice President
Jenny Wade has lived in the Valley since 2014. She has over 20 years of nonprofit experience with a focus in nonprofit management, donor development and fundraising. Jenny has served four years on Teton Valley Foundation board of directors (2 as Board Chair) and is currently sitting on the Hapi Trails Board as Secretary. She looks forward to realizing the mission of the ACT Foundation by raising awareness of and accessibility to arts, cinema and theater in Teton Valley.
Mara Brannon, Treasurer
After 20 years in Texas, Mara & her husband found paradise in Teton Valley in 2014. She has a background in financial analysis and over 30 years of experience in healthcare software technologies, specializing in project management and new product launches. Mara is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. She has served on several non-profit boards in the valley including the Teton Valley Health Foundation and Family Safety Network, and currently on the Teton Valley Foundation and the Good Shepherd Pastoral Council. She and her husband Jack of +35 years have 2 adult children, 2 five-year-old puppies, love fly fishing, skiing, and Teton Valley
Jessica Kraft has been living in Teton Valley with her son and significant other since 2016. She is currently the COO for Kate’s Real Food and brings business operations and organization skills to the team. Jessica has an appreciation for all the arts and believes this foundation will help encourage the valley to spend more time enjoying and participating in the arts, cinema, and theater
Dusty Hardman, Director
Dusty Hardman has lived in Teton Valley since the 1990s and raised her kids here. She’s active with indoor and outdoor fitness and can be seen hiking, biking or skiing. Dusty was honored to be the treasurer on the initial board of the ACT Foundation because she loves the Arts, Cinema, Theater, thrift stores and the Teton Valley community that the ACT Foundation will benefit.
